Thank
you, Marston.
I hope you
all understand that I came to NIH when I was very, very, very
young.
When Dr. Linehan
mentioned to me that he would like to include a pathologist in
this meeting, I thought it was fantastic. And we, together, concluded
that we needed a pathologist that had ample experience in the
field of general urological pathology. We wanted a pathologist
that had made significant and important contributions to advance
the field.
And I also
mentioned that it has to be an excellent speaker, but also very
entertaining, since he was going to be talking to clinicians.
Immediately, a name came to us, that it had to be Dr. Victor Reuter.
Dr. Reuter
is the director of surgical pathology at Memorial Hospital, and
has dedicated most of his career to study the pathology of all
the urological processes. He is also very, very entertaining when
he speaks, and on top of that, he is a very dear friend.
