DR. TRIMBLE: The next speaker is Dr. Larry Copeland from Ohio State University , who is Vice-Chair of the Gynecologic Oncology Group.

DR. COPELAND: Thank you, Ted. On behalf of Dr. Disaia, who was unable to attend due to a long-standing overseas commitment, the GOG welcomes you and thanks you for donating your time and expertise to advance our common mission.

GOG certainly appreciates the opportunity to co-sponsor the State-of the-Science review for ovarian cancer. One of the goals of this collaborative meeting is to institute a more cooperative integrated research program amongst NCIC, TAP, the SPORE programs, industry and the GOG.

With the evolving science on today's agenda, the GOG is optimistic that we are poised to make significant progress in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of ovarian cancer. On behalf of the GOG, again, welcome, and I turn the program back to Dr. Trimble.
